After ten years of continuous ecological restoration and wetland habitat reconstruction, biodiversity in Haizhu Lake has been steadily increasing. The ecological island in Haizhu Lake has been planted with many Ficus macrocarpa, which are very suitable for herons to nest. There are also rest areas and mudflats, providing excellent resting and foraging places for herons, facilitating their better reproduction.
The Grey Heron is a national second- class protected animal in China, a large waterbird with a long neck and sharp beak. It has a slimmer and taller body compared to ordinary herons, with a grey upper body and white abdomen. It mainly inhabits areas near rivers, ponds, streams, and lakes. #WildLingnan

来自印度的MOKSHIKA TYAGI、广州的吴昕蔓、中国香港的潘裕熹和石诗榆来到了广州的海珠湿地公园，海珠湖经过十年持续生态修复和湿地生境再造，生物多样性持续增加，海珠湖生态岛上种植了很多细叶榕，非常适合鹭鸟筑巢，这里还有休息区和滩涂，给鹭鸟提供了非常好的休憩与觅食场所，让它们得到更好地繁殖。
苍鹭是国家二级保护动物，是大型水边鸟类，长着长长的脖子和尖尖的嘴，身型比平常的鹭鸟更细长，上半身是灰色的，腹部是白色的，主要栖息在江河、水塘、溪流、湖泊旁边。
