China's container throughput at its ports rose 9 percent year on year in the first four months of this year. A total of 104.03 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) of containers were handled at China's ports during the period, according to the Ministry of Transport.

1—4月，全國港口完成貨物吞吐量55.5億噸，同比增長5.2%，其中內、外貿吞吐量分別增長3.5%和9.1%。完成貨櫃吞吐量10403萬標箱，同比增長9.0%。
